Western Gas Resources awarded David Blankenship and Jim Wollenberg the Distinguished Safety Award. The award is in recognition of outstanding performance in an emergency situation occurring February 2006. They applied safety skills learned in Western’s safety training classes when encountering a wrecked automobile. Training in both initial assessment and first aid resulted in a positive outcome for this situation.
Calvin W. Loomis, P.E., Project Engineer and Source Testing Team Leader, has recently been certified as a Qualified Source Testing Individual (QSTI) by the Source Evaluation Society (SES). SES is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the applied sciences relating to source evaluation with respect to air pollution control and striving to ensure the highest professional standards by its members. Cal passed the qualifying exams in three categories: Group I Methods 1 to 5 particulate matter testing, Group II wet testing methods, and Group III instrumental methods. |
