Brian joined Bison in 2013. He works in the Permitting group and frequently assists with source testing projects. He graduated from Carroll College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an environmental emphasis. Brian has provided air permitting and regulatory compliance assistance to clients from a variety of industries including: limestone, hard rock, and coal mining/processing; timber and wood products; biofuel production and biorefineries; baseline and peaking electrical generation with coal and natural gas, cement production; grain malting; and food production.

Brian has specialized in dispersion modeling analyses and supports spatial analyses using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), GlobalMapper, and AutoCAD. Brian’s background with computing analyses includes the use of the EPA preferred AERMOD modeling system to assess ambient air concentrations and depositional impacts from industrial sources within Class I and Class II areas.

Brian is certified in the following:  40 Hr. Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, Visible Emissions Evaluator for Method 9, Basic Medic First Aid with CPR, and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) trained.

When not assisting clients with air quality needs, Brian can most likely be found skiing or trail running in the mountains, playing guitar, or spending time with his friends and family. He’s also never far away from his next cup of coffee.
