Dave joined Bison in 1997and is a project scientist for the Source Testing group. Dave is certified by the Source Evaluation Society (SES) as a Qualified Individual for the performance of source testing. He has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Environmental Technologies from Montana Tech of the University of Montana.
Dave conducts compliance and FYI testing on all types of industrial facilities. He has experience in equipment maintenance/repair, water sampling, opacity observations, PM10 audits and calibrations, protocol/report production, and various laboratory duties. Dave is trained in source sampling methods, instrumentation, trial burns, and control equipment efficiency testing. He is involved with all aspects of compliance emissions monitor (CEM) certification and relative accuracy test audits (RATA). In addition, Dave can provide services for process and combustion optimization and troubleshooting.
Dave is certified in the following: 40 Hr. Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, Visible Emissions Evaluator for Method 9, Basic Medic First Aid with CPR, and Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) trained. Dave has also completed the qualified source testing individual (QSTI) certification in Groups I, II, and III with the SES.
In his free time, Dave enjoys hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking, biking, rafting, camping and all types of outdoor activities.
