Erik joined Bison in 2006 as the Chief Financial Officer. Erik oversees all of the financial aspects of the company and is a part of the company management team. He prepares financial statements, analytical reports, budgets, and other reports related to the 401(k) plan and the Bison ESOP Trust. In addition, he coordinates and maintains the computer network, acts as Human Resources Director, and leads the administrative team. He also acts as an advisor to the Bison Board of Directors.

Erik has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Prior to joining Bison in 2006, Erik held Controller/Treasurer/CFO positions for numerous entities in the area of turn-around business management. His responsibilities included supervision of all accounting functions and day-to-day operations; conducting fraud investigations; business strategic planning; preparation of financial statements, SEC filings and various court documents; and design and implementation of accounting and company policies and procedures. He was part of the management team that was charged with guiding the company through bankruptcy and paying all of the creditors.

Erik enjoys mountain biking and riding motorcycles of all varieties, including the challenge of riding in bad weather. He also likes hiking and other outdoor activities with his wife and children, and is an active member of his church.
