Joe joined Bison in 2001 as a member of the Permitting group in the Helena office. He has a B.S. Environmental Engineering from Montana Tech.

Joe is responsible for all phases of preparing air quality permit applications for industrial clients. He is involved in air modeling analysis required for the preparation of initial air quality permit applications and modifications of current permits for many large industrial facilities including: lime, cement and wood products production facilities, and coal-fired power generation stations.

Joe focuses on the preparation and execution of the required air dispersion modeling system for each project. This includes developing air modeling inputs for facility layout, emission inputs, and receptor networks. Joe assists in writing the final report and summarizing the required air modeling data analysis.

Joe has 20 years of experience in the lumber industry, primarily in veneer production. He was an undergraduate research assistant at Montana Tech involved in air plume dispersion research.

Joe serves as a board member for the Montana Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association and for the Montana Wood Products Association.

In his time off, Joe enjoys exploring the backroads of Montana. This includes looking for historic places, geology, fishing streams, and anything out of the ordinary.
