Matthew Nurimba, QSTI Environmental Scientist/Tucson Team Lead

Matt has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science and Biological Science minor from the University of California, Irvine. He joined Bison in their Tucson office in 2015 after working as a project supervisor for AirKinetics, Inc. located in Orange County, California. As the Tucson office lead tester, Matt has been managing source testing projects for a variety of sources including cement plants, mobile asphalt plants, refineries, power generating stations, smelters, etc.

Matt has several years’ experience in wet bench chemistry analyses, CEMS, test protocol development, field sampling, project deployment and QA/QC. Matt will work with the client to provide services for process and combustion optimization and troubleshooting.

Matt is certified in the following:  40 Hr. Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, Visible Emissions Evaluator for Method 9, Basic Medic First Aid with CPR, and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) trained. He has also completed the qualified source testing individual (QSTI) certification in Groups I, II, III and IV with the Source Evaluation Society.

Matt enjoys being walked by his dog, Biscuit, playing soccer and creating hearty and healthy home cooked meals.
