Jacob joined Bison in October 2018 to work on the emissions testing group in Helena. Having graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering just prior to starting at Bison Engineering, his only experience is in industrial source emissions testing. With his degree in Chemical Engineering he has working knowledge of many common industry practices including but not limited to boilers, distillation columns, digesters, and separation units.
Jacob looks forward to improving his expertise of EPA stationary source testing methods while helping clients accurately test and evaluate their emissions according to their air quality permit either in an engineering or compliance scene. He also helps with equipment maintenance, protocols and reports, and some laboratory work.
Jacob is an Engineer in Training (EIT), a Source Evaluation Society (SES) member, MSHA certified with Emergency Response and First Aid (CPR/AED) training and is in the process of acquiring his Qualified Individual (QI) certification with SES on various EPA source testing methods.
When Jacob is not out climbing stacks you can find him with either a fishing rod in his hand or skis strapped to his feet, usually with his fiancé.
