L. Connor Everly joined Bison in August 2019 as a Staff Scientist with the Tucson Field Source Testing group. He has a B.S. in Sustainable Plant Systems, with a specialization in Controlled Environment Agriculture from the University of Arizona.
As a member of the Source Testing group, Connor conducts air emissions testing in accordance with EPA methods for both engineering and compliance purposes for a variety of clients. Connor also conducts maintenance/calibration operations on scientific equipment used in the field, sample/glassware prep between tests, and data collection during tests.
Prior to working with Bison, Connor worked as a research student with the Controlled Environment Agriculture Center where he specialized in crop grafting and creating new methods for measuring healing efficiency. After graduating, he joined the Tucson Audubon Society and worked as a contractor for the National Park Service. Traversing the parks and monuments of the Sonoran Desert, he cataloged native and exotic plant species, set out wildlife cameras, and created a biome map for Saguaro National Park, Tucson Mountain District.
Connor has Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and 10-hour Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) certifications.
When off the clock, you will find Connor writing and recording for his podcast, entertaining his friends with grand Dungeons & Dragons adventures, snuggling with his numerous pets, or serenading his beloved fiancé.
