Jackson joined Bison in 2021 as a member of the Source Testing group. He has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Beloit College and is an environmental scientist in the Helena office.
Prior to joining Bison, Jackson has been working as a manufacturing engineer focusing on efficiency and repeatability in the manufacturing of Augmented Reality glasses for Meta in Silicon Valley. More recently he led the service team for Montana instruments, based in Bozeman Montana, installing and maintaining cryogenic systems across the US. He hopes to bring his love for technology to the air quality realm and help advance Bison to more areas of testing.
Jackson is a project manager for air emissions testing in accordance with EPA methods for both engineering and compliance purposes for a variety of clients. He has experience and knowledge in Boiler MACT compliance testing, and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy instrumentation. He also performs equipment maintenance/repair, protocol/report production, and project scheduling.
Jackson has certifications for basic life support (CPR), rope rescue, 40 Hr. Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, and is Mining Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) trained.
Jackson enjoys the outdoors and spends much of his free time biking, hiking, camping, ice skating, and skiing depending on the weather. These activities are done preferably at varied points across the globe.
