Joanne originally joined Bison in 2015, worked for Pima County for 18 months, and rejoined Bison in October 2021. She began work for EEMC in 2008 as a report writer and gradually gained field experience in source testing, becoming a QSTI in groups 1 and 3. After joining Bison, she also became a QI in group 4.
Joanne has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa and is an Engineer in Training. Her previous engineering experience was in computer software development with additional experience in process engineering for television manufacturing and R&D. For Bison, Joanne currently works in the reporting group.
Joanne is certified in the following: 10 Hr. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training, Visible Emissions Evaluator for Method 9, Basic Medic First Aid with CPR, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training, scissor lift and man lift training, APTI Course 482 VOC Sources and Control, and Certified Asbestos Inspector.
Joanne took a break from engineering to raise her five children and work as a substitute teacher. In her free time, Joanne likes hanging out with her kids and dogs, reading, writing, hiking, playing pickleball and soccer.
