Bison Engineering, Inc., a Montana-based, employee-owned, environmental engineering and consulting firm, is looking for an entry level staff engineer or scientist.

Start your career with the fast-paced, highly technical engineering organization of Bison! We are currently seeking two full-time Staff Engineers for our Source Testing team—one in Helena, MT and one in Billings, MT.

This is a hands-on role responsible for performing source tests for our clients. The work includes regional travel and is often physically demanding, performed in outdoor and industrial settings, frequently at elevated heights. A commitment to workplace safety is essential, and employees will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. The successful candidate will be trained in source testing methods, protocol development, and report writing.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 4 Year Technical degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to operate successfully both independently and in a team environment

Salary: $31+ per hour DOE plus overtime

This is a hands-on role that will be responsible for the Project Management and performance of source tests for our clients. This opportunity will include regional travel and the nature of the work is, at times, physically demanding, performed in outdoor and industrial settings, and often at elevated heights. A commitment to workplace safety is essential and employees will be subject to drug and alcohol testing. The successful candidate will prepare written test protocols and reports; perform emission tests; collaborate with clients, team members and regulatory personnel; manage budgets/schedules, and work to secure new projects.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 5 Years Experience in emission testing with instrumental and isokinetic EPA testing methods.
• 4 Year Technical degree
• QI or QSTI certification
• Working knowledge of regulatory testing methods
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Ability to successfully operate independently & in a team environment

Salary: $39.00 - $54.00 per hour
